“Put A Lid On It” is a very interesting project, designed by David F. Heatwole and organized by The Arts Collaborative, that started as a simple idea and started to grow into something bigger, uniting and inspiring people from all over the world.
The purpose of this project is to do something positive for the environment by saving the non-recyclable lids from going into the landfills and make art from it.
In this case they’ve re-created a Van Gogh painting all made of lids in the mural of the Red Brick Wall in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Experimental project from Bram Venhaeren’s with metal materials and little rocks.Great stuff.
“I’ve been working on all kind of experiments and this was one off them. I was inspired by the works of Dan Tobin Smith and played with some little rocks and metal materials from my dad, to make this happen. I hope you enjoy the project.” Bram

This project was the show opener of CAT (Creative and Technology) conference in NY. The piece combines stop-motion and a generative application to create a futuristic block village all in a LCD screen.
A striking piece from Mekanism.
“I think one of the initial ideas was Teressa really wanting something playful, and that kind was kind of a jumping off point to start thinking about the treatment, and how we might be able to go about doing it. That’s where the idea of building blocks came in; in a way it’s like the art of play.” Emmett Feldman,Mekanism
